PHYSIO-PHILOSOPHY-Awareness of Myself
PHYSIO-PSYCHOLOGY-Understanding Myself
PHYSIO-PHYSIOLOGY-Technique for Myself
This is more than a style of bodywork,
it’s a philosophy
of life taught by a Mary Burmeister. Jin Shin Jyutsu
means “art of the Creator through compassionate man” in
Japanese. Is it a physio-philosophy that is
used by everyone unconsciously. It does not “do” anything;
yet, it encompasses everything. It is called the art
of life itself. It is the whole cosmos. It cannot
be categorized. The purpose of Jin Shin Jyutsu is to
release the tensions that cause various physical symptoms. The
body, contains energy pathways that feed life into all cells. When
one or more of these paths becomes blocked, the effect can
lead to discomfort of pain. Like acupuncture and acupressure,
Jin Shin Jyutsu re-harmonizes and balances the energy flows.
Karen presents this workshop in a two-day
workshop presentation covering all three books, which are listed
below. Please
bring your mats, pillows and blankets so that you can receive
hands-on receivership of the technique. One-on-one and
group workshops are available.
MAIN CENTRAL VERTICAL FLOW
- Place
the fingers of the right hand on the top of the head
(where they will remain until step 6). Place
the fingers of the left hand on your forehead between
your eyebrows. Hold for 2 to 5 minutes or until
the pulses you feel at your fingertips synchronize
with each other.
- Move the left fingertips to
the tip of the nose. Hold
them there for 2 to 5 minutes or until the pulses synchronize.
- Move the left fingertips to
your sternum (center of your chest between your breasts). Leave
the fingertips there for 2 to 5 minutes or until
the pulses synchronize.
- Move your fingers to the base
of your sternum (center or where your ribs start,
above the stomach). Hold
them there for 2 to 5 minutes or until the pulses synchronize.
- Move your fingers to the top
of your pubic bone (above the genitals, center). Leave
your fingertips there for 2 to 5 minutes or until
the pulses synchronize.
- Keep your left fingertips in
place and move your right fingertips to cover your
coccyx (tailbone). Leave
your fingertips there for 2 to 5 minutes or until the
pulses synchronize.
Note: The right hand remains
on the top of the head while the left hand moves
down the body until the final step. |
